Worship

B’nai Israel Synagogue is a Reform congregation and a member of the Union for Reform Judaism. We are a thriving, inclusive Jewish community and welcome interfaith families to our congregation. Members and visitors are welcome to attend our worship services, which include:

Weekly Friday evening and Saturday morning Shabbat services

We celebrate Shabbat services each week. Once a month our Friday evening service includes our “Nosh, Pray and Schmooze service” – join us for a light wine and cheese reception followed by an early Friday evening service. Then head home for Shabbat dinner or stay around to visit. Also several times each year, we offer a Shabbat Around the Table Discussion and service.

The times of our Friday evening services vary depending upon the format of the service for any given week. View our calendar or contact us at the synagogue office for the service times. Shabbat morning services are at 9.30 a.m.

Monthly Conservative Sim Shalom Shabbat morning service

Each month on one Shabbat morning, we offer a Conservative Shabbat morning service. This service is usually held on the second Shabbat of the month and is the only service offered on that morning. View our calendar or contact us to confirm service dates and times.

High Holiday worship services

Come celebrate Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur at B’nai Israel Synagogue. We offer both adult and family-oriented services on both holidays. Our High Holy Day observances also include a meditation service, a healing service and a study session. At the conclusion of Yom Kippur, we offer a community break-fast.

We observe all Jewish holidays with a worship service or observance. Join our congregation to celebrate holidays, including:

Hanukkah

Passover
